Mike was escorted by Mike Nelms, proprietor of Meridian Lanes.  He started bowling at the age of 8 and was a member of his first junior league at age 10.  While bowling in the Major Classic League at Penn 44 at the age of 16, Mike received several high game and high series awards with a high game of 273.  While in High School, Mike coached the Bantam League at Penn 44 after school. Mike has bowled in ABC leagues since 1967.  He has bowled (3) 300 games, (2) 298 games and (2) 290 games.  His high series is 793 - for which he was the Daily Oklahoman Bowler of the Week.  He has had at least (6) 700 series each year for the last 10 years.  Bowling with Odie Platt last year they placed 6th in the Classic Doubles Division in the Oklahoma City ABC Tournament.  Since 1982 he has averaged between 201 and 216.  Mike is retired from the Oklahoma City Fire Department.  Mike was inducted into the Hall of Fame in the Skill Division.
